Abstract

Narcotics Abuse Survey in Indonesia conducted by BNN and LIPI in 2019, the prevalence rate of drug abuse in Indonesia reached 2.4% or equivalent to 4.5 million people. This view turned out to catch the government and the entire Indonesian nation off guard against the threat of the dangers of drugs. The focus of this study uses qualitative approch with a descriptive method. The author chose this method because the experience and understanding of facts and phenomena in the field so that this research prioritizes process over results. Findings, an effort to curb the abuse and illicit circulation of drugs, an evolution of policies is needed to provide a burden that can be felt directly by the community. The suggestion is that every change of leadership does not have to change the direction of policy in a revolutionary manner but can continue policies that are still relevant to be implemented.
