INNOVATIVE BEHAVIOR MODEL USING INTERVENING KNOWLEDGE SHARING: EVIDENCE FROM JAKARTA ISLAMIC HOSPITAL
This study aims to identify and analyze the role of knowledge sharing in mediating the influence of Islamic leadership and digital literacy on the innovative behavior of healthcare workers at Jakarta Islamic Hospital. A quantitative approach was employed to ensure objective and measurable results. The study targeted a population of 1,396 healthcare workers, from which a representative sample of 230 respondents was selected using a proportionate random sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale to capture the perceptions and attitudes of participants. For data analysis, the study utilized Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Squares method (SEM-PLS), which is appropriate for examining complex relationships among latent variables. The results demonstrate that both Islamic leadership and digital literacy exert a direct and significant positive influence on the innovative behavior of healthcare workers. Moreover, knowledge sharing is also found to have a strong and positive effect on innovative behavior. The study further reveals that Islamic leadership and digital literacy positively and significantly influence knowledge sharing practices within the hospital setting. This indicates that leaders who embody Islamic values and employees with strong digital competencies are more likely to engage in sharing knowledge. Additionally, knowledge sharing is confirmed to be a significant mediating variable that strengthens the impact of Islamic leadership and digital literacy on innovative behavior. These findings highlight the importance of fostering a culture of trust, continuous learning, and technological readiness to enhance innovation in healthcare institutions.
