THE INFLUENCE OF LEADERSHIP STYLE ON COMPANY PERFORMANCE IN FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICE INDUSTRY OF MALAYSIA
Company performance is important because it shows the company’s ability to achieve high profits, good product quality, market share and good financial results. This cross-sectional study will study the influence of leadership style on company performance in the food and beverage service industry of Malaysia. The factors of transformational leadership style and transactional leadership style will be studied as the independent variables. Data is collected from 397 respondents via online questionnaires Qualtrics. The data is statistically analyze using SPSS software version 26. In this research study, it is found that there is a significant relationship between company performance and transformational leadership style (p-value=0.038) and transactional leadership style (p-value=0.000). Transactional leadership style is the dominant factors influencing company performance follow by transformational leadership style. This research can help the food and beverage service industry to further understand the factors that influence the company performance and be aware of different leadership behavior and further adopt the leadership style to improve the company performance.
