Abstract

Tourism continues to play a significant role in economic and social development, particularly in regions that rely on hospitality and local attractions. In today’s digital era, Smart Tourism Technologies, such as mobile applications, real-time information systems, and interactive digital platforms, are reshaping how tourists plan, experience, and reflect on their travels. This study explored the perceived effectiveness of Smart Tourism Technologies in beach resorts located in Iba, Zambales, and examined how these perceptions relate to tourist satisfaction and post-consumption behavior. Using a quantitative-descriptive design, data were gathered from 100 resort visitors. Results revealed that tourists found these technologies effective across key areas: information, accessibility, interactivity, personalization, and security. Moreover, a strong positive relationship emerged between technology effectiveness, overall satisfaction, and favorable behavioral outcomes such as repeat visitation, word-of-mouth recommendations, and willingness to pay a premium. These findings emphasize the growing importance of digital innovation in enhancing tourist engagement and sustaining destination competitiveness.
