EXPLORING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WOMEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS IN SALEM DISTRICT
This research article explores the relationship between entrepreneurship and socioeconomic status of women entrepreneurs in Salem district. Women entrepreneurs have shown remarkable resilience, creativity, and innovation, particularly in challenging environments. The study is conducted to understand how the socioeconomic status of women entrepreneurs impacts their entrepreneurial activities and vice versa. The research methodology involved a quantitative survey approach using a structured questionnaire to collect data from a sample of women entrepreneurs in Salem district. The data analysis revealed that there is a significant positive correlation between the socioeconomic status of women entrepreneurs and their entrepreneurial activities. The study provides insights into the factors that influence the success of women entrepreneurs and highlights the need for policy interventions to support and empower women entrepreneurs from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds. Overall, the study contributes to the existing literature on entrepreneurship and women's empowerment by highlighting the importance of addressing socioeconomic disparities to promote gender equality in entrepreneurship.
