EMPLOYEE TALENT RETENTION AND ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE: EVIDENCE FROM MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY IN CHENNAI CITY

Abstract

There is a question why highly-qualified and capable employees are allowed to leave their organizations. This study aims to find out the main factors affecting employee retention and how employee retention affects organizational performance in the manufacturing sector in Chennai City. The employee retention drivers that are discussed in this study include Work arrangements, Organizational Prestige, Commitment, Job Satisfaction, Organization Justices and Locations are the factors. The researchers use a questionnaire as a research instrument to collect the primary data from employees using the simple random sampling technique. SEM- is used to analyze the collected data, to test the study model and the proposed hypotheses. The findings expose that Work arrangements, Organizational Prestige, Commitment, Job Satisfaction, Organization Justices and Locations are affected employee retention with organization performance.
