Abstract

Twelve surface soil samples were collected from soil growing different crops (Maize, Fababean, Wheat, Chickpea) in the farm of College of Agricultural Engineering Science, University of Duhok, Iraq during the season (2020-2021).To study some of the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil (PH, Electrical Conductivity, Available Nitrogen, Available Phosphorus, Available potassium, Organic Matter %,Organic Carbon% and Colony Forming Unit with three dilution CFU10-4, CFU10-5, and CFU10-7) The results indicated the highest significant value of nitrogen( 78.33 mg/kg) and phosphorus (6.87 mg/kg) was found in fababean crop, while the lowest value of nitrogen (53.00 mg/kg) and phosphorus (5.43 mg/kg) were found in wheat crops. Percentages of organic matter (2.28%) and organic carbon (1.32%) indicated the highest significant results pointed in fababean crop. The colony forming unit (CFU) or the number of bacteria in different dilution10-4, 10-5 and 10-7 found that the highest number in fababean crops 245.30, 91.00 and 55.33 respectively were recorded.
