Abstract

Services in the field of higher education need to instill productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency, to produce works that can be enjoyed by various parties. For this reason, these three things always need to be evaluated and re-interpreted. The method used in this study is the method of documentation and observation. To develop Gadjah Mada University (UGM) that can keep up with the times and at the same time continue to fight for the common people, a combination of reliable educational management, educational leadership, and educational responsibility is needed that is capable of guaranteeing the realization of high skills values and guaranteeing the value of accountability in moving UGM wheels. Institutional management must be equipped with the value of truth, in the sense that UGM leaders at the university, faculty, and support units always fight for the truth. In a democracy, this leadership value needs to be supported by the value of freedom in its development. To develop this democratic value, it is necessary to be accompanied by the value of wisdom in its implementation. Each time these values are evaluated and reinterpreted which is useful for self-reflection in the framework of self-criticism and refreshment. Everything is done by taking into account the sustainability of human capital and modifications to the development of information and communication technology to face the wave of globalization in all fields, UGM's values and identity are seen from a nationalist perspective.
