IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN TALENT ACQUISITION IN IT SECTOR WITH REFERENCE TO CHENNAI DISTRICT
The digital age has transmuted the business paradigm and engaging themselves into the competitive world which can be modified with productive workforce along with competitive advantage. Identifying prolific employees, hiring and on-boarding them is a real challenge for an HR professional in any organisation. With emergence and swift of technology, hiring a right talent becomes an effortless task for HR professionals. Artificial intelligence leveraged talent acquisition eases the process of hiring a right talent hence enhancing the efficiency of recruitment. With the help of artificial intelligence, the hiring process revolutionized at high rate. Artificial intelligence replaces the human cognition and allows the computer to do the work and make effective decision making. AI has the ability to process large amount of data at high speed. The tasks performed with the help of algorithm and guesses the candidate’s attribute, identifies and matches the candidate according to the candidate profile and job description. The work of HR is reduced to some extent and saves more time spent on repetitive tasks. The main objective of the study is to current utilization of AI technology in talent acquisition in IT sector with reference to Chennai district. The study also aims to address the impact of AI in talent acquisition and the perception of HR employees. For this purpose, the primary data were collected from 75 HR employees in IT sector and secondary data were also used. The findings suggest that utilization of AI in talent acquisition provides various benefits to the organisation and employees also have a positive perception towards the AI integration.
