Abstract

Student perception about their institution refers to how students view and assess their college or university. This can encompass a wide range of factors, including the quality of the education, the availability of resources and facilities, the campus culture and environment, the level of support provided by faculty and staff, and many other aspects of the student experience. Student perception is important because it can have a significant impact on student satisfaction, engagement, and ultimately, academic success. Positive perceptions of an institution can lead to higher levels of student retention, greater involvement in extracurricular activities, and increased likelihood of recommending the institution to others. On the other hand, negative perceptions can lead to decreased motivation, lower academic performance, and even dropout rates. As such, understanding and addressing student perceptions is a crucial aspect of institutional management and improvement. Institutions that actively seek feedback from students and take steps to address concerns and improve the student experience are more likely to see positive outcomes in terms of student engagement, satisfaction, and success.
