FACTORS AFFECTING THE PRODUCTIVITY RATE USING THE MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (MIS) WITHIN CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
The current article is based on the construction business management to investigate the factors that affect the productivity rate via management information system. Management information system is one of the most important types of information system used to examine the factors and productivity impact rate within the construction business management. It identifies several factors that remove negative effects so that the positive effect can be promoted. Previous investigation was based only on the productivity rate and its measurement but not on the specific industry or factors affecting the same. However, the current study has focused on the factors and the specific construction industry so that its management can be understood in an in depth manner. Notably, decision support systems and business intelligence management information systems are highly considered so that calculation of volume input to the volume output ratio can be obtained to discover the productivity rate measurement. Safety and time factors are considered as the most important one which affects the construction business management. Therefore it is recommended to improve the construction management activities to increase the productivity rate by maintaining all the factors considered while conducting the activities of construction management. Research methodology has been followed up in the article whereby secondary data collection is used and the thematic data analysis is applied. Qualitative data is used in the entire research for better following up the interpretivism and inductive research methods.
