Abstract

Due to increased awareness of financial planning and efforts made by mutual fund companies to market mutual funds as an investment product, mutual funds are progressively becoming a popular investment alternative. Because there are so many different mutual fund schemes accessible, it is also easy for an investor to select one that would help him achieve his financial objectives. They are the most popular financial alternative right now. The objective of this research is to understand the factors that influence investor choice of mutual funds in the Kanchipuram District, the corporate factors that influence investment in mutual funds, the preferred types of mutual fund schemes, the patterns of investments that investors make in mutual fund schemes, and the relationship between investor demographics and their preference for a particular type of mutual fund.
