Abstract

Environmental topics and sustainability have attracted significant attention; however, just a few incorporate environmental elements in the purchase intention. This research aims to explore the determining factors of customer purchasing intention. This strategy facilitates novel knowledge of how various elements influence customer purchasing intention. This research adopts a systematic literature review strategy to synthesize current bibliographies on purchasing preferences toward green products. Findings from the synthesis of 37 relevant papers from Scopus from 2013-2022 are a comprehensive determinant of the customer purchasing intention toward green products: customer behaviour, social influence, the company’s business strategy, and government regulation. This research suggests comprising this comprehensive aspect as a critical element to consider in purchasing green products. This research contributes to the practical and theoretical customer purchasing intention of green products.
