Abstract

This research seeks to identify the characteristics that influence the adoption of Inline XBRL (IXBRL) software. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to offer a complete evaluation of the existing literature on information systems pertaining to the adoption of presentation standards by users, with a focus on the IXBRL software standard, and to construct a suggested model based on this review. To fulfill the general purpose of this study, three goals are proposed: to analyze and assess the suitability of antecedent variables and models of technology adoption; to develop a conceptual model of technology adoption. (2) To define the appropriate elements of the many models used to comprehend the proliferation of IXBRL software; (3) and to construct hypotheses for this study; the creation of a model for the adoption of IXBRL software. This study contributes by integrating the relevant literature on information systems in order to consolidate the understanding of technology adoption from the user's viewpoint and by providing clear recommendations for future research. In other words, this study first evaluates the adaptability of antecedent models for addressing technology adoption concerns. Second, it combines prior research results to provide a complete and coherent picture of the adoption of technological research undertaken in the information systems domain. Thirdly, this research proposes a conceptual model that incorporates aspects from many technologies adoption models in order to examine technology adoption from the user's viewpoint. In the final part, the next directions of this study are outlined.
