TRENDS IN E-COMMERCE USER INTERFACE DESIGN: A BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS

Abstract

The presence of e-commerce marks progress in the field of marketing. The use of design through the user interface in e-commerce has also become a phenomenon. The user interface is an aspect of attraction that also changes consumer behavior. Therefore, this study was conducted to see the research trends of e-commerce user interface design so far. The study used bibliometric analysis that focused on (1) Keyword identification and database search; (2) Performing preliminary data analysis; (3) Display network analysis; (4) Conducting thematic analysis. The analysis also uses visualization graphs in its discussion. The results of this study revealed that there are 1952 journal documents from 1999-2022 in the Scopus database. The development trend has increased significantly in 2022. Meanwhile, based on the evolution, the theme of e-commerce user interface design is divided into 3 major periods, namely 1999-2009, 2010-2019, and 2020-2022.
