HUMAN RESOURCE RETENTION: EXAMINING THE STRATEGY OF PT TELKOMSEL MAKASSAR IN DEALING WITH COVID-19 (REVIEWED FROM INDONESIA ECONOMIC LAW)
After the Covid-19 pandemic, companies had to rack their brains to survive, especially in terms of Human Resource Management Retention to suppress employee termination. Steps taken by PT. Cellular Telecommunications (Telkomsel), to reduce the impact of Covid-19 in the company. Telkomsel must create a strategy to reduce the impact of Covid-19. Where this management strategy must be taken to maintain the life of a company. This type of research is a Mix Methods research, namely a research step by combining two approaches in research, namely quantitative and qualitative research. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out through field surveys, namely researchers coming directly to PT. Telkomsel Makassar South Sulawesi Province, to obtain accurate data. In this study PT Telkomsel Makassar has 117 employees. Human resource retention contributes to employee effectiveness with a contribution of 4.42%. Analysis of simple regression shows that there is a real/significant influence between Indonesia economic law and employee effectiveness at PT Telkomsel Makassar. Telkomsel's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) also said that the company has 9 strategies to reduce the impact of Covid-19 which are divided into three stages, namely early stage, near term, medium term. The effect of Human Resource Retention on Employee Effectiveness at PT Telkomsel Makassar is influential/significant based on the results of a simple linear regression test with T count or 2.548 greater than T table or 0.468. Telkomsel Makassar's strategy is also to carry out relationships such as conducting campaigns and donation activities, e-donation activities.
