EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE NON-CASH FOOD WELFARE PROGRAM IN THE REDUCTION OF POVERTY IN BONE BOLANGO REGENCY
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the BPNT (Non-Cash Food Welfare) program in Bone Bolango Regency. Research data were collected through interviews, observations, and review of written documents and were analyzed qualitatively through four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the study indicate that implementing the BPNT program in Bone Bolango Regency has effectively alleviated the community's daily economic burdens by meeting their basic food needs. However, the program has also had unintended consequences, as some beneficiaries have become less productive and reluctant to work, preferring to wait for the aid. Furthermore, the allocation of benefits is subject to variation and adjustment based on the size of the family unit. Consequently, the program is considered inadequate in addressing poverty in Bone Bolango Regency. Thus, we recommend providing guidance and empowerment to beneficiaries to reduce their dependency on the program. Furthermore, enhancing public outreach and education regarding the objectives and operational mechanisms of the BPNT program is imperative to augment its overall effectiveness.
