Abstract

Media technology at this time is a bridge that can connect efforts to revitalize myths as part of oral literature with the implementation of language learning in the multiliteracy era as a challenge in the 21st century. Revitalizing myths can be done by transforming them into the performing arts of musical poetry developed through technological media. The practice of art-based research in this study is a method that can pave the way in that direction. This is evidenced by the concretization of the revitalization product of the Ambu Hawuk myth into the performing arts of musical poetry as a multimedia performing art. In the end, the revitalization product of oral literature can be used in language learning to answer two challenges simultaneously: transmitting cultural values and carrying out language learning using aesthetic technology.
