Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the dynamics of the number of ecotourism visits per year in the context of developing and managing mangrove ecotourism destinations based on tracking length, number of boats, Scenic Beauty Estimation, promotion, accommodation, and management rate. The research method was carried out by survey, observation, and literature study. Data obtained was analyzed using Powersim Studio software, with output in the form of simulating the number of ecotourism visits for 40 years in scenarios of without ecotourism, pessimistic, moderate and optimistic ones. The results of the study showed that the number of ecotourism visits appeared to be the most in the optimistic scenario, which activities utilize all available resources with maximum development. The simulation of mangrove ecotourism visitors seemed to have reached the capacity limit in the 15th year for the optimistic scenario with a total of 709,791 visitors; the 29th year for the moderate scenario with 313,140 visitors; and for the pessimistic scenario, the capacity would not be reached until the 40th year. These results were expected to be an important input for the stakeholders in the development and management of mangrove ecotourism.
